中村 悠一郎
Yuichiro NAKAMURA
福島県白河市を拠点に活動するアーティスト。
作者という名義にまつわる美術制度を批評的に再検討するというコンセプトのもと、50を超える多様な別名義を駆使して制作・発表を行っている。各名義はそれぞれ固有のスタイルやテーマをもっており、作者群・作品群を通じて、作者とは何か、作家というアイデンティティとは何か、一貫性とは何か、などという根源的な問いを投げかける。
一部公認されている別名義には、Y・N、栄燿一郎、老松孝志、福岡壱海、楡木真紀、ダニエル・ホールなどが挙げられ、それぞれドローイング、写真、プロジェクト、ワークショップ、パフォーマンス、インスタレーションなどといった多彩なジャンルにわたり活動を展開している。
これらの名義の一部はギャラリーなどのアートスペースで公表される一方、他の40を超える名義は非公認で曖昧なまま作品を発表するなど、意図的に作家性と名義の概念を攪乱させることを目的としている。
鑑賞者は、どの名義がどういった意図で制作・発表されているのか、などといった問題を想像する過程自体も鑑賞体験に含まれることになり、伝統的な作者という制度への批評が作品世界そのものへと広がっている。

アーティスト。2023年8月北海道のとあるトマト農園に訪れた後、トマトエージェンシーという世界中から個人的に撮影された写真を代理で発表するという写真代理業者「トマトエージェンシー」というプロジェクトを思いつく。2024年6月仙台のギャラリーGallery TURNAROUNDにて、様々な方法によって収集してきた1000枚以上の写真の中から選択した100枚以上の写真を展示した展覧会を開催。現在は、主にInstagram上での発表をメインに写真の収集を続けている。

アーティスト。カレーライスギャラリーディレクター。特定の拠点を持たないパフォーマティヴな現代美術ギャラリーであるカレーライスギャラリーを2024年設立。展覧会企画によって、会場を設定するというコンセプトで運営されている。これまで、中村の別名義の作家や国内の作家の展覧会を企画。カレーライスという名前の由来は、ディレクターである老松がある日夕食にカレーライスを食べていたときに思いついたから。

パブリックアーティスト。2024年12月29日活動開始。ここでいうパブリックとは、福岡壱海（ふくおかいちか）という名義を誰でも使用することができるというパブリックな権利である。福岡壱海は、人間の身体は実在せず、名義のみが実在し、様々な人物の一時的な仮の名義として機能する。主な活動に、資本主義のサイクルに影響を受けるアートマーケット的発想ではなく、数十年、数百年、数千年先の未来に思いを馳せ、千年以上続くような対話や制作を行おうとするワークショップである千年ワークショップを主催している。

Yuichiro Nakamura
An artist based in Shirakawa, Fukushima Prefecture.
Based on the concept of critically reexamining the art system surrounding the name of the artist, he creates and presents his work using over 50 different aliases. Each alias has its own unique style and theme, and through his group of artists and works, he asks fundamental questions such as what is an author, what is the identity of an artist, and what is consistency.
Some of his officially recognized aliases include Y.N, Sakae Yoichiro, Oimatsu Takashi, Fukuoka Ichikai, Niregi Maki, and Daniel Hall, and he is active in a wide range of genres such as drawing, photography, projects, workshops, performance, and installation.
While some of these aliases are publicly displayed in art spaces such as galleries, he presents his works under over 40 other aliases without official recognition and in an ambiguous manner, with the purpose of intentionally disrupting the concepts of authorship and name.
The viewer's experience of imagining questions such as which name was used and what the intention was behind the creation and presentation of the work is itself part of the viewing experience, and the critique of the traditional institution of the author extends to the world of the work itself.

Artist. After visiting a tomato farm in Hokkaido in August 2023, he came up with a project called Tomato Agency, a photo agency that would present personally taken photos from all over the world on behalf of the farmer. In June 2024, he will hold an exhibition at Gallery TURNAROUND in Sendai, where he will display over 100 photos selected from over 1,000 photos he has collected through various methods. He currently continues to collect photos, mainly publishing them on Instagram.

Poet. Artist. Artist. Curator. Gallerist. Founded Curry Rice Gallery, a performative contemporary art gallery without a specific base, in 2024. The gallery is run with the concept of setting the venue according to the exhibition plan. Up until now, it has planned exhibitions by Nakamura's other artists and domestic artists. The name Curry Rice comes from the idea that the director, Oimatsu, came up with it one day while eating curry rice for dinner.

Public artist. Activities begin on December 29, 2024. The public here refers to the public right that anyone can use the name Fukuoka Ichika. Fukuoka Ichika does not have a real human body, only the name exists, and functions as a temporary pseudonym for various people. His main activity is hosting the Millennium Workshop, a workshop that does not follow the art market ideas influenced by the cycle of capitalism, but instead thinks about decades, hundreds, and thousands of years into the future, and aims to engage in dialogue and production that will continue for more than a thousand years.
